Kitsy Clare Launch Party for Model Position: Giveaway #1

Welcome to the party!!!

Hi everyone, and thanks for coming to the Model Position launch party! I’m so excited to share this launch party with you! The party that Leagh from Romance Novel Promotions has put together will be big fun with tons of great giveaways.

As for me, I’ll be giving away plenty of Art of Love swag and my fellow author friends are donating some interesting ebooks! So have fun, and hey, pick up a virtual drink from the virtual bar. There are Art of Love cocktails with strawberries, Naked Model Visions with mint, Velvet Hammers and Fuzzy Navels; we have it all at the Art of Love bar. Plus there’s some serious eye candy: the bartenders have taken a note from Erik’s playbook and they’re all clad in suede loincloths!

Let me introduce myself to those who don’t yet know me. I’ve been writing YA for a while now as Catherine Stine (Refugees, Fireseed One, Ruby’s Fire). Model Position is my first venture into new adult romance and I’m writing romance as Kitsy Clare. I love writing new adult, experiencing my characters in their twenties with all of the romance, fear, adventure and ambition that entails, and all of the baggage that is brought into adulthood and worked through. First real jobs, first long term romance, and the heady plunge into the workaday world.

Model Position was inspired by my own experience in art school. I sat through live drawing class with some weird and wacky models (like an old man who dressed up in clown outfits), and some hot, practically naked ones too. That realm has natural drama: diva art dealers, horny guys in edgy fashion, cutthroat competition and unique chances for creative collaboration. Oh, and some very deep paintings too.

Hey everyone, Leagh here. I just wanted to stop by and explain a bit about what's going to happen today. Each post today will have a chance to win a different prize so be sure to stop at each and every one of them for the best chance to win. Also, Kitsy has been gracious enough to answer some interview questions so those will be popping up randomly throughout the day, each of which will have a special prize from her. The rest will be posts from some author friends that she decided to join the party.

All the posts and giveaways will stay open until midnight tomorrow (Saturday) so those that work today or aren't able to make the party will get a chance to stop by.

I hope you all have fun today! We are going to have our first giveaway here but first...here's some information on our featured book - Model Position!

In Manhattan’s glitzy gallery scene love and art are perilous games. Will Sienna dare to play?

All too soon, artist Sienna Karr will graduate art school and be flung out into Manhattan’s glamorous but cutthroat gallery scene. Luckily, she’s just met Dave Hightower, heir to the hippest gallery ever. He’s asked her on a date, and offered to introduce her to the gallery owner, his intimidating aunt Lydia. Sienna’s excited! Now she’ll be able to climb the ranks and make those all-important art connections.

Trouble is, she’s falling hard for the sexy live drawing model, Erik, whose sizzling green eyes seem to pierce right into her soul. Dare she risk losing those potential art contacts for love? Erik insists that Sienna is a real talent and her painting stands out above all the others. But she worries that he whispers this come-on line to every pretty art student who flocks around him during breaks. And her friends worry, is Erik up to her pay grade? What kind of guy chooses modeling for a living? Who is he, really? Her choice may be her ruin—or not—but she must decide fast. Everything in Sienna’s super-organized life is turning to terrifying yet sweet chaos.

Now for the first part of today's interview with Kitsy and your first chance to win!

When asked to tell us her latest news, Kitsy answered with:

Right now I’m hard at work on the second in the novella series. It’s called Private Internship. With her her grad degree from art school in hand, Sienna lands an interview for an internship with a super-rich, super-famous young artist. His name is Caz Mason and he has a dangerous reputation as a lady-killer. On her way to the internship Sienna’s bestie, Harper, already interning with Caz, texts Sienna to say he’s just fired her! Harper warns Sienna not to go, that Caz will ruin her life! Should Sienna go?

What do you think? The person with the most fun answer will win an Art of Love coffee cup!

  9. She should go! If Caz is as much of a cad as Harper says, Sienna and Harper can join forces to wreak havoc in his life, in the studio and out.

  11. Oh Sienna HAS to go. With this additional knowledge she has power and nothing to lose. She can have a great time avenging her friends dismissal and perhaps honor.

  15. Yes, she should go! Nothing ventured; nothing lost... but opportunity. And who knows what wild adventure?

  16. Go Go go, the only things she will regret in life are the things she didn't do. There has to be something else going on and she needs to find out what that is and maybe get Harpers job back or at the very least teach lady killer Caz that not all woman are created equal and perhaps she can teach him a lesson.

  17. Sure she should go. I mean everyone knows a hot boss could be great, or could be bad.. but only one way to find out!

  19. Before Sienna gets to the interview she has to have Harper fill her in on all the ofice "dirt" and behind the scenes compromising things about caz. Find out what would drive Caz crazy in an interview.
Play to him big time and set him up for a fall.
