Book Blurb
Athena is a widow and an accomplished businesswoman. She's the type of person who exceeds expectations in business, family--life in general. Since the death of her husband, she's had a desire to explore submissive cravings she's had for some time. The hitch is, Athena is known as a Mistress, because that's the role she played to her husband.

Though she knew her submissive nature was strong enough to serve her husband as a Domme, because that's what he needed, it's when she meets Dale, a retired Navy SEAL, that she attempts to discover what her own submissive desires are. But letting go of that control is harder than she expected.

Fortunately, Dale is an accomplished Master who can help her accept the true nature of her submission, rather than how she's tailored it to meet the expectations of others. But in the course of learning what letting go means, both of them will learn a bit more about the nature of love between Dominant and submissive, and how it defies all categories.

  5. Sarah, how much do they REALLY need food? You can tell them it's a game - pretend to be starving children in Africa and... Okay, yeah, that was tasteless, I know. One of the reasons I'm not a human child mother (grin).

Jilly, I'm voting for loss of impulse control! (lol). Thank you, Lee!! So happy you guys are loving it. And Burbanette, hope you're able to get hold of it soon - we're giving one away on each of these appearances, so be sure and enter the giveaways. :> Leaves you more money for Christmas gifts!

  7. LOL! I'm still not finished, at 67% now! Btw, as a former animal shelter director I wanted to say thanks for adding the bit about the dog(s) being spay and neutered prior to going to there furever home.

    1. Sarah, I'm (forgive the term) rabid about that particular subject. I manage to inject the spay/neuter suggestion into any conversation with a new pet parent, and of course to anyone thinking of breeding their dog/cat, I discuss how many dogs/cats are looking for homes. I spent my teen and early twenties working for a humane society and spay/neuter clinic that was right next to the local pound, so the things I saw there have stayed with me. Sounds like we could swap a lot of stories! Hope you enjoy the rest of the book!

    2. Rabid! ;) Funny if you've never have had to take those damn shots. I bet you have a few (too many) heartbreaking stories to share. Same here, I've seen it all the good, the bad and the ugly. The best are still the updates from families who treat their four legged like their children (as well they should)! I love the details and was really pleased to see your added attention to the subject. Much love!
